Accessibility, Again

"Because poetry is challenging, however, does not mean it is inaccessible. I believe more strongly than ever, after a few years of interfacing with so many students and audience members in classrooms and different kinds of spaces, that there is always a way into a poem, even for a reader of my books who is not a woman of color, a Pinay, a multilingual immigrant, a writer of experimental poetry, a MFA student, a post-colonial literature professor."
